The EU has prepared a response to Trump

This decision was taken by the EU in response to the full reinstatement of US duties on steel and aluminum. Tariffs of 25% on all imports of these metals, raised by the Donald Trump administration, will take effect on March 13, Reuters reported.

“Our countermeasures will be imposed in two phases. Starting on April 1 and fully from April 13,” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said.

The restrictions will apply to a wide range of U.S. goods, including steel, aluminum, textiles, household appliances, plastics, bourbon, motorcycles, poultry, beef, eggs, dairy products, sugar and vegetables.

The EU plans to approve a new package of measures against imports from the US by mid-April.
