Poland closes border with Belarus

This is due to the Russian-Belarusian military exercises “West-2025,” TVN24 reported.

“It seems that everyone who had doubts about this issue now clearly recognizes that this decision was appropriate. I know that for some it will be costly, but safety comes first,” said Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration, Marcin Krzewinski, has been sent to the border with Belarus. As explained by the ministry, the suspension of cross-border traffic is being introduced in both directions and applies to motor vehicles and freight trains. The traffic ban will remain in force until this decision is revoked.
