Sheba Tel HaShomer Medical Center, ranked among the top 10 hospitals in the world by Newsweek, has become a strategic partner of the Ukrainian charity foundation Kvіtna in launching the first stationary Women’s Health Diagnostic Center in Ukraine. The Center is now open and operating in Kyiv.

This marks the next phase in a two-year partnership between Kvіtna and Sheba, which began with the development of a mobile platform for early breast cancer screening. The mobile initiative has brought life-saving diagnostics to women in frontline zones, military units, and remote communities—places where access to basic medical care is extremely limited.

To inaugurate the Kyiv center, Dr. Yoel Har-Even, Vice President of Sheba Medical Center, visited Ukraine and personally conducted diagnostic procedures alongside Ukrainian doctors. His visit was not symbolic—it signaled real knowledge exchange and deepened cooperation between Israeli and Ukrainian medical professionals.

“Sheba has extensive experience providing care in crisis settings—treating war injuries, supporting displaced populations, and operating in conflict zones. We want to share this expertise with Ukraine, where women—soldiers, medics, and the elderly—have long lacked access to even basic cancer screening,” said Dr. Har-Even.

It is also a significant new step in the expansion of Sheba’s humanitarian mission in Ukraine. The hospital—globally known for its work in conflict and crisis zones—is bringing not just expertise, but long-term commitment to improving access to early cancer detection for underserved populations.

All services at the Center are free of charge, funded entirely by charitable donations.
