USA threatens EU with new tariffs

On May 1, US President Donald Trump announced that he would raise tariffs on cars from the EU to 25%, despite the trade agreement reached last summer, Bloomberg reports.

“If we don't see substantial progress, I think you should expect this fairly soon. The president meant: ‘Listen, this has been going on for too long,’” said U.S. Ambassador to the EU Andrew Puzder.
