US to dismantle the ICC

Rubio accused the ICC of waging war against the US not with bullets or missiles, but with the force of so-called international law, CNN reports.

This conflict has been ongoing since Trump's first term, when the court attempted to investigate alleged war crimes by American troops in Afghanistan. During Trump's second term, Washington imposed a series of sanctions against ICC officials for their attempts to investigate the actions of the US and Israel.

"Using every tool at our government's disposal, working with every ally willing to act with us, we will dismantle the ISS—brick by brick, if necessary," Rubio said.

The US is demanding that other countries make a choice. Those who continue to support the ICC risk losing American funds.

"Countries that refuse to reject the false authority of the International Criminal Court, relying on US assistance, will likely find themselves under intense scrutiny," he said.

He said these countries, including many EU states, should formally reject the ICC's authority to prosecute US citizens.

To achieve this goal, Rubio believes the US will impose complete diplomatic isolation on the institution. It plans to ban travel for ICC personnel, revoke visas, and impose harsh economic sanctions.

The Secretary of State considers the ICC a tool of political struggle. He claims the court is controlled by forces hostile to Washington.

He believes the institution is supported and directed by a powerful network of leftist NGOs, complacent globalists, and hostile Third World governments united by hostility toward the US.
