US launched new strikes against Iran

The operation was in response to Tehran's attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

"US Central Command forces have launched a series of significant strikes against Iran to hold it responsible for shelling and attacking commercial vessels crewed by innocent civilians. The strikes were in response to Iran's attacks against three merchant vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian aggression was unprovoked, posed a serious threat, and constituted a clear violation of the ceasefire," CENTCOM reported.
