U.S. has concluded operation “Epic Fury”

The U.S. is not interested in further escalation and prefers a peaceful resolution of the situation through negotiations and the conclusion of relevant agreements, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

Rubio noted that the U.S. president supports a diplomatic solution to the situation and advocates for the development of a memorandum of understanding for future negotiations, which would cover key issues and provide for full disclosure of protocols.

"Yes, look, Operation Epic Fury is over. We have achieved its objectives. I won’t—you know, we don’t welcome the emergence of a new situation like this. We prefer the path of peace. The President prefers an agreement. He would like to sit down at the negotiating table, draft a memorandum of understanding for future negotiations that covers all key issues to be resolved, with full disclosure of protocols, so that the world can return to normal. That is the path he prefers,” Rubio said.

He added that at this point, Iran has not chosen the path of negotiations, which is why the U.S. is forced to respond to the situation, particularly in the context of ensuring security in the Strait of Hormuz and guaranteeing the unimpeded movement of goods.
