Trump wants to meet with North Korean leader

According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump is seeking to revive an ambitious diplomatic initiative from his first term aimed at persuading Kim to abandon his country's nuclear weapons program.

Trump has privately discussed the possibility of arranging a personal meeting with Kim during his next trip to Asia, which could take place in November, when world leaders gather for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Shenzhen, China.

However, official preparations for Trump's meeting with the North Korean leader have not yet begun.
