Trump secretly evacuated from Turkey

Due to the Iranian assassination threat against Trump, his return from Ankara after the NATO summit was orchestrated so that no one knew he was not on his own presidential aircraft – despite public claims to the contrary, and even the White House staff accompanying Trump were convinced he was on the same plane with them, according to The Washington Post.

In reality, after boarding the plane, Trump was secretly transferred to a catering truck, typically used to deliver food to passenger planes, and thus transferred to a smaller military transport plane, on which he departed Turkey. The media and White House staff were returning on Air Force One and were not supposed to suspect anything.

It's unknown how limited a number of people actually knew about the president's whereabouts.
