Trump halts the “Freedom” operation

The decision was made at the request of Pakistan and other countries and is linked to the tremendous military success the U.S. achieved during the campaign against Iran, as well as to progress toward a potential final deal with Iranian representatives.

"At the request of Pakistan and other countries, given the tremendous military success we have achieved during the campaign against Iran, as well as the fact that significant progress has been made toward reaching a comprehensive and final agreement with Iranian representatives, we have mutually agreed that, although the blockade will remain in full force, the ‘Freedom’ project (the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz) will be suspended for a short period of time to determine whether this agreement can be finalized and signed," he wrote.
