Russia accuses Britain of escalating the war in Ukraine

The Russian Embassy in the UK stated that reports of Ukraine using British drones to strike Russian territory confirm that London is deliberately escalating the Ukrainian crisis, while hypocritically claiming a desire for peace.

"London's actions will inevitably have consequences for which it will have to answer. The deeper its involvement in the conflict and the greater its support for Kyiv's terrorist machine, the higher the price it will pay," the statement added.

In response, a spokesperson for the British Ministry of Defence stated that the UK stands "shoulder to shoulder" with Ukraine.

"Russia should have no doubt about this government's resolve to counter Russian aggression – both in Ukraine and against the UK and our allies," he stressed.

According to him, the UK has committed to providing Ukraine with the equipment necessary to defend itself against Putin's illegal invasion.
